Volunteer with Kendall Whittier Community Day – April 1
Help the community thrive by donating your much appreciated time and effort!
All necessary materials, including water, will be provided to all volunteers. Volunteers may sign up for multiple projects or shifts, if desired.
Volunteers under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
Volunteers will be connected with their project leads after signing up.
Tulsa Girls
Art School
Suitable for all ages!
Shifts:
8am-10am
10am-12pm
Location:
Tulsa Girls Art School, 2202 E. Admiral Blvd.
Project description:
Assisting the Tulsa Girls Art School staff with trimming tree limbs, bushes and vines and other landscaping, trash removal, outdoor painting, and cleaning out the storage shed.
All volunteers will receive free coffee and bagels as a thanks!
About:
Tulsa Girls Art School is an after-school art and youth development program that provides support and resources to over 75 at-promise girls annually — all for free.
Whitty Books

Assisting the Witty Books staff with prepping and painting their back door.

Whitty Books is an independent bookstore that focuses on small publishing houses, diverse titles and under-the-radar releases.
San Miguel School
of Tulsa
Suitable for all ages!

9am-11am
11am-1pm
Location:
San Miguel School of Tulsa, 2444 E. Admiral Blvd.
Project description:
Assisting the San Miguel staff with outdoor painting, gardening, window washing and trash pickup.
All volunteers will receive free snacks and beverages as a thanks!

Community Day Project Submission
for businesses and public spaces.
Project submissions are closed for 2023.
Whether it’s reorganizing your inventory, painting walls or fun murals on your storefront, removing trash, or freshening up an outdoor courtyard/green space, no project is too small.
Terms and conditions for Kendall Whittier Community Day:
- KWMS will provide basic materials for volunteers, such as trash bags, gloves and vests.
- Businesses are responsible for providing water to volunteers. Other refreshments and snacks are optional.
- Businesses are responsible for the disposal of trash related to the project being completed.
- Businesses are responsible for providing supplies to volunteers (paint, lumber, etc). If there are other specific supply needs, KWMS might be able to help. Please let us know in the form below.
- The Kendall Whittier Community Day committee will be choosing projects based on the descriptions and photos provided, and cannot guarantee that the project will be chosen or the number of volunteers available for the project.
- Keep in mind that these projects will be completed by volunteers who are not professionals, so please choose a project suitable for all skill levels.
- Submissions are due by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, February 17.
