Tulsa is in need of new local farmers! The demand for local food has skyrocketed. The connection to human health is more apparent than ever! Do you think you might want to farm, but not sure where to start? Not sure if its right for you? Tulsa Farmers’ Market has partnered with Green Country Permaculture for this Intro to Local Farming class to inspire future local farmers for Tulsa and surrounding areas. Students will have the opportunity to get a taste of what the Farmer Incubator program entails and if they are interested in exploring a future farming hobby or career.

Everyone will go home with a free crop plan and a better understanding of what it takes to grow food!

Two intro classes are available both in person and over Zoom: one on Saturday, January 23rd, 2021 and Saturday February 20th, 2021 both at 1PM to 2PM.

In person classes will be capped at 15 participants with overflow available on a private online Zoom meeting available through Eventbrite and Facebook events.

Attendees will have the opportunity to enroll in a 9-week farmer immersion program at a discounted rate when attending this class.
