Kendall Whittier Main Street is planning to host six events in 2022 – some brand new and other old favorites.
“Events bring people from all over Tulsa – and the region – to Kendall Whittier to celebrate together,” said Sydney Alison, KWMS community engagement coordinator. “And it’s a really fun way to show off our area and the businesses that call K-Dub home.”
All of KWMS’ 2022 events will be free and open to the public.
The event season will kick off mid-year with a brand-new Amps on Admiral event on June 4. Featuring outdoor music in a pop-up park, this laid-back event will start in the afternoon and run through the evening.
Three events will be part of a Los Festivales y Mercados series, which will take place on July 23, September 17 and December 17. The September event will be the annual Mexican Independence Day Celebration and December will be a Kendall Whittier take on Las Posadas. All three events will include Mercado vendors.
The Kendall Whittier Arts Festival will line the streets with local art vendors and live music on October 15. The 2021 Arts Festival was the largest Kendall Whittier event to date with two stages, a free Kids Zone and more than 60 artists.
November’s event will kick off the holiday shopping season with Small Business Saturday on November 26.
“Our slate of events this year has something for everyone – art, food, music, and activities for the whole family to enjoy,” Alison said. “Plus, it’s all free!”
“We are so thankful for the continued support of Fowler Automotive. Their support allows us to put on free, family-friendly events that are for the community and serve to benefit our businesses,” Jackson Seay said.
The event schedule is subject to change.
