As Kendall Whittier Main Street gears up for an exciting lineup of events in 2021, opportunities for partnerships and sponsorships are available.

The nonprofit organization is committed to hosting free public events to connect the residents with businesses and the district, but is facing additional costs this year due to the pandemic, such as extra sanitizing or more space to allow for social distancing.

“Without our sponsors, Kendall Whittier Main Street would not be able to host free and fun family-friendly events that provide safe spaces for the community to gather and that attract new audiences to the ever-evolving Kendall Whittier District,” said Jessica Jackson Seay, executive director.

Sponsorships range from $250-$2,500, while in-kind sponsorships and customized packages are also available.

“Supporting the community shouldn’t break the bank,” Jackson Seay said. “It was really important to us to offer opportunities for businesses big and small.”

A full list of sponsorship opportunities, including pricing and perks, can be found online. There’s even an online form for any inquiring or registering to become a sponsor.

On the second Thursday of the month from May through October, KWMS will have its always-popular After Five series, an outdoor concert in a pop-up park in Whittier Square parking lot.

The Kendall Whittier Arts Festival was pushed from its usual April date to October 16. K-Dub Grub & Suds, a beer and food event that premiered in February 2020, will take place on August 24.

Three events will be part of a Los Festivales y Mercados series, which will take place on June 12, September 18 and December 18. The September event will be the annual Mexican Independence Day Celebration and December will be a KW take on Las Posadas. All three events will include Mercado vendors.

Kendall Whittier Main Street is a nonprofit organization that inspires the ongoing revitalization and growth of a historic and cultural neighborhood in Tulsa, striving to transform it back to a thriving, walkable commercial district.
