Wheeling to Whittier

May 13, 2021 | 5-9 p.m.

Featuring: Desi & Cody

Wheeling to Whittier encourages you to get to our first After Five of the season through active transportation so bust out those bicycles (or rent one with This Machine), tricycles, unicycles, skateboards or roller skates as there is a special gift in store for anyone caught wheeling to Whittier! Desi & Cody will be here to perform live music from 7-9 p.m. Learn more about the event here.

3-7pm – Oklahoma Blood Institute Bloodmobile*
5-9pm – Kids Zone open, Friend’s VIP section open
5:30pm – Casual group ride leaves Tom’s Bicycle (2648 East 11th) en route to event
5:30-8pm – Nine One Skate demonstration
5:45-6pm – Announcements by SAIED Music and Kendall Whittier Main Street
6:30-7pm – Reading and talk by Jeffrey Tanenhaus, author of  West of Wheeling
7-9pm – Desi & Cody

*Also, the Oklahoma Blood Institute Bloodmobile will be here from 3-7 p.m. for anyone interested in donating blood. All donors will receive a free t-shirt and one free pass to either Frontier City, Safari Joe’s H2O, or the Science Museum of Oklahoma! Book your appointment and learn more here. 

Bark in the Park

June 10, 2021 | 5-9 p.m.

Featuring: Casii Stephan and the Midnight Sun

Four-legged friends are invited to June’s After Five for Bark in the Park. We’ll have some dog-friendly activities and a dog trick exhibition, but pooches should remain on leash unless in specific off-leash areas. Puppy Haven Rescue will bring some adorable and adoptable pups too!  Casii Stephan and the Midnight Sun will entertain the human companions with their soulful rock. Hear Casii perform originals and some of your favorite covers. Enter your furry friends into the dog trick exhibition here (signups aren’t required, but encouraged)!

Kids Night

July 8, 2021 | 5-9 p.m.

Featuring: Hot Toast Music Company & jazz guitarist Michael Engdahl

Summer can drag on for kiddos out of school, so July’s After Five is all about the little ones! With extra kids activities and kid-friendly entertainment, After Five is a fun and free family affair! 

Enjoy an interactive kids’ concert with Hot Toast Music Company and face painting and balloon twisting courtesy of Bam Entertainment! For the last hour, jazz guitarist Michael Engdahl will entertain guests. Plus, smile big for Foto Fusion Booths, a free and interactive photo booth!
