Kendall Whittier Main Street’s annual “Friends” donorship program is open for 2021, with new perks, new levels and even a new website.
The Friends program is where individuals and businesses can donate to Kendall Whittier Main Street to support its mission. Since KWMS is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, donations are tax deductible.
Any individual or business can be a Friend of Kendall Whittier. It is not limited to people or businesses in Kendall Whittier itself. To learn more or sign up today, go to visitKendallWhittier.com/friends.
“A Friends donation is a great way to show your support and love for Tulsa’s best little district,” said Jessica Jackson Seay, executive director of Kendall Whittier Main Street. “Not only will you get certain perks, you also know you’re contributing to the revitalization and preservation of the district.”
Since the organization began, 78 new businesses have opened, creating more than 350 jobs. A total of $158 million has been reinvested in the district. Kendall Whittier has come back alive with vibrant businesses and unique hot spots.
“It’s because of our Friends and private donations that we have been able to make so much progress in the district in such a short time,” Jackson Seay said. “These funds allow us to promote the district and merchants, recruit new businesses to the area, continue ongoing beautification and public art efforts and host really fun, public events.”
Both Individual Friends and Business Friends have multiple levels of giving, depending on giver’s ability and comfort. Gifts can be made in full once or set up to donate monthly.
Individual Friends, specifically for people or couples, can access VIP sections at some events, like the Friends Lounge at After Five, or benefit from first-access to ticketed events like K-Dub Grub & Suds, and your name listed on the KWMS website.
Business Friends, open to any business, nonprofit or organization/associations, receive a 2021 Friends window cling, enhanced digital marketing and a link to your website from the KWMS website. Certain levels, like Champion and Superstar, include a logo on the website or special sponsorship opportunities.
“Each year, our goal is to have more Friends than the year before,” Jackson Seay said. “We hope you’ll consider becoming a Friend and help us reach this year’s goal of 66 Friends!”
