Volunteer opportunities for projects are available as part of the annual Kendall Whittier Community Day. Join the Facebook event here.
KW Community Day is scheduled for Saturday, April 6 and is a partnership with Keep Oklahoma Beautiful and Tulsa University.
“Previous Kendall Whittier Community Clean-up Days have proven very successful. This year will be no different, with results the community will see right away. “Having the businesses and community working together to make Kendall Whittier attractive to guest is the goal” said Evon Markum, Kendall Whittier Main Street Executive Director. “Board members of both KWMS & KWID are looking forward to this event.”
Volunteers are needed from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Those interested in volunteering on April 6, 2024 will meet at the KWMS office located at 2205 E. Admiral Ave.(Across the street from Tulsa Girls Art School)
Projects are ideal for families or volunteers of any age, while the some are specifically for volunteers 17 or older.
Kendall Whittier Main Street is a 501c3 nonprofit organization, so volunteering for KW Community Day is a great way to earn service hours.
if you’re in need of volunteer hours for your school, job or community group, or you’re just looking for a way to get involved in Kendall Whittier that directly supports local businesses, this is the perfect initiative. We highly encourage people to sign up as early as possible so we can coordinate projects.
Projects may include graffiti removal and light landscaping, painting, and outdoor cleanups around KW.
