When Jackiez Gonzales moved to Tulsa in June 2019, she immediately immersed herself in her new community and continued her passion for supporting locally owned businesses. Almost four years later, Jackiez has many volunteer hours under her belt with Kendall Whittier Main Street and has started an exploratory public art initiative that focuses on public art as an economic development strategy called Regenerate|Reimagine. She is also a chair member of TYPROS, a Board Member with Tulsa Regional Tourism, a Commissioner for the Greater Tulsa Area Hispanic Affairs Commission, and a Committee Member with the Sunny Dayz Mural Festival.
Staff Says: “Jackiez has dedicated so much of her own time to not only supporting KWMS staff with events and initiatives, but to making Kendall Whittier the best it can possibly be by helping bring new businesses into the district with R|R. I’ve really enjoyed getting to know her over the past couple years!” – Sydney Alison, Community Engagement Coordinator
Jackiez Says: “I love the KDub! It’s a great place with fun events and truly phenomenal people!” – Jackiez Gonzalez
Fun Fact About Jackiez: If she could only eat one dish for the rest of her life, it would be the pozole verde from Calaveras. Yummmm.
