A new event is coming to Kendall Whittier that speaks to foodies and craft beer enthusiasts alike – K-Dub Grub & Suds.
Combining the best of the Kendall Whittier Ale Trail and the Taste of Kendall Whittier, K-Dub Grub & Suds features samples from various restaurants and breweries within the Kendall Whittier boundaries.
“People love food, and they love local craft beer. We knew Kendall Whittier had a plethora of both, so why not celebrate them together,” said Jessica Jackson, executive director of Kendall Whittier Main Street, the event’s host.
Restaurants will be set up inside or near the breweries centered around the 6th and 7th and Utica areas. A full list of participating businesses will be released in late January, but the event organizers expect 4-5 breweries and 12 restaurants all providing samples.
The event is from 6-9 p.m. on Feb. 18. Tickets go on sale on Jan. 13 for a one-week early-bird rate of $40. General admission prices will $50 after that date.
“We wanted this event to be self-paced and self-led for guests,” Jackson said. “They can start at any of the participating breweries and go in whatever order they want, taking their time or breezing through.”
Tickets include tastings from all restaurants and two four-ounce pours from each brewery. Additionally, ticket holders will receive a custom taster glass and a $5 Uber credit for safe travels home.
“At the risk of sounding cheesy, this will be a fun – and filling – event. We are sure you’ll leave with a full belly and a big smile,” Jackson said.
Once on sale, tickets can be purchased online here. The event is sponsored by Fowler Automotive.
