TULSA – Canines take the spotlight for a 2020 calendar, releasing this month, featuring shop dogs of Kendall Whittier.
The “K9s of K-Dub” calendar is a 13-month calendar beginning in January of 2020 with four-legged furry friends each month. The calendar highlights shop dogs, owner dogs or regular visitors of Kendall Whittier.
On sale for $20 at select Kendall Whittier merchants. It is a fundraiser for Kendall Whittier Main Street, and 100 percent of the proceeds go to supporting the ongoing revitalization of the historic Kendall Whittier area.
“This calendar was so much fun to work on,” said Jessica Jackson, director of Kendall Whittier Main Street. “Kendall Whittier is a fairly dog-friendly neighborhood, so we decided to use this calendar to help promote that.”
The calendar was photographed, designed and printed locally. It was sponsored by Peoples Bank.
“Tulsa pet photographer Caryle Barton was the creative mind behind the photos,” Jackson said. “She was a joy to work with, and captured the personalities of the dogs and businesses perfectly.”
The calendars are limited edition and may sell out quickly. They will be on sale at Circle Cinema, Fair Fellow Coffee, Heirloom Rustic Ales, Whitty Books and Ziegler’s Frame & Art after Thanksgiving.
Pre-order by calling 918-633-1934. Pre-orders can be picked up on Small Business Saturday, November 30, at the Welcome Booth on the corner of Admiral & Lewis from 9:30-11:30 a.m., or the following Monday, December 2, at the Main Street office, 2205 E. Admiral Blvd.
