Liz Horkey
Volunteer, Activations & Promotions Committee

Liz Horkey is the type of volunteer who brings good insight, coupled with a willingness to help get the job done, to any table she’s apart of. She’s a volunteer you make sure to hang onto.

Liz, the Assistant Vice President for Marketing at American Heritage Bank, serves on the Kendall Whittier Main Street Activations & Promotions Committee and planned the Small Business Saturday Shoppers Breakfast in November to bring people out to shop local.

“I think shopping and doing business locally is important because it helps make someone’s dream a reality while supporting their family and livelihood,” Liz said.

Liz has volunteered for Kendall Whittier Main Street for more than a year, helping out with clean up days, event set up and now serving on a committee.

Additionally, she is the Secretary/Communications for Tri Delta Tulsa Alumnae. She can be seen volunteering at events around Tulsa and surrounding communities, including the Christmas Chute in Sapulpa.

Staff Says: “Liz is one of the easiest people to talk to. She brings passion, expertise and the will to work to every project she is a part of. Volunteers are like Liz are one in a million!” – Jessica Jackson Seay, executive director.

Liz Says: “I volunteer for Kendall Whittier Main Street because I believe that the KW neighborhood is a great place to live and work, and it’s full of wonderful people. I hope that my small contribution will help the area flourish.” – Liz Horkey

Fun Fact About Liz: Her favorite holiday tradition is making homemade cinnamon rolls with her family while drinking cocoa and listing to Christmas music.
