Treasurer, Board of Directors
Ken Busby is the kind of guy who jumps all in when he joins an organization – even if he’s all-in with 10 others!
“I can count on one hand the number of KWMS events and meetings Ken has missed in the last six years,” said Jessica Jackson Seay, KWMS executive director.
Ken is the Executive Director and CEO of the Route 66 Alliance and serves on 10 total community boards and organizations, including the Tulsa Symphony, Tulsa Route 66 Commission, OCCJ and Green Country Workforce – all of which he serves as committee chair. He is also the vice president of the Oklahoma Museum Association and the vice chairman of the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust.
In addition to his physical presence, Ken has a knack for connecting with people easily. He is outgoing, charismatic and well connected all throughout the region. You’ll often see him working the Friends booth at events and chatting up KWMS, Route 66 and Tulsa’s arts and culture scene.
Staff Says: “Ken Busby may be the busiest person I know, but he is also the first to sign up to help out. It’s remarkable – and so is his extensive tie collection!” – Jessica Jackson Seay, executive director.
Ken Says: “I volunteer with KWMS because I believe in the Main Street program and what it does to build community! KWMS being on an alignment of historic Route 66 is icing on the cake!” – Ken Busby
Fun Fact About Ken: If Ken could only have one dish for the rest of his life, he would choose a BLT. “It has everything – meat, vegetable, fruit, bread.”
