Suds and Streams is a celebration of local Oklahoma waters and the aquatic diversity within our state. Each month we will host biologists, conservationists, and other qualified professionals in relevant fields that will enhance our understanding of Oklahoma biodiversity and articulate specific programs, challenges, and approaches to protecting and exploring our waterways.
Jim Burroughs has a BS from OSU in wildlife ecology with a fisheries emphasis, and an MS also from OSU in Environmental Science. He was a reservoir biologist working in the eastern half of the state and managing the lower Illinois river trout fishery for 20 plus years. Today, he still manages the trout fishery and has been the statewide streams supervisor for almost 10 years.
Jim will present a short presentation starting promptly at 7, but will leave most of his time for questions pertaining to the Lower Illinois River, the Lower Mountain Fork, or any other public stream or creek.
This event is ALL AGES and free.
