Love in the Time of Fentanyl – FREE Indie Lens Pop-Up event

February 8, 2023 @ 7:00 pm

Join us for the kickoff of the 2023 Indie Lens Pop-Up season!
Each screening includes a FREE documentary with intro by host Sydney Alison (Kendall Whittier Main Street Community Engagement Coordinator), a post-film Q&A with local experts, sign language interpreting from TSHA, and open captioning on the films.
Community Partner for February: SHOTS (Stop Harm on Tulsa Streets) will be in attendance with info on the work being done in Tulsa. Co-Director and Founder Hana Fields and other representatives will take part in a Q&A after the film, followed by a Narcan training demonstration.
About this month’s film: As deaths in Vancouver, Canada reach an all-time high, the Overdose Prevention Society opens its doors—a renegade supervised drug consumption site that employs active and former drug users. Its staff and volunteers do whatever it takes to save lives and give hope to a marginalized community in this intimate documentary that looks beyond the stigma of people who use fentanyl and other drugs.
Indie Lens Pop-Up is a FREE neighborhood series that brings people together for film screenings and community-driven conversations.
