Indie Lens Pop-Up: Apart (Free Screening)

Join us on Wednesday, Feb 16 at 6:30pm for a FREE screening of the new film “Apart” – includes a post-screening panel discussion with host/moderator Gitzel Puente. Brought to you from Indie Lens Pop-Up and Circle Cinema. Sign language interpreting will be provided for the intro and panel through a partnership with TSHA. The film will be played with open captions.

About the film: Since the beginning of the War on Drugs, the number of women in U.S. prisons has grown drastically. The majority are mothers. Three unforgettable formerly incarcerated mothers, jailed for drug-related charges, fight to overcome alienation—and a society that labels them “felons”—to readjust to life with their families.
Apart will premiere on OETA on February 21, 2022.
