Artist statement: My work is inspired by film, literature, mythology, and dreams. It is dark imagery in bright colors. I would like the improvisational grittiness in my work to signify a messy playfulness and a rejection of artistic sterility. It’s an attempt at dredging up hidden gems from my own psyche. I believe that life is richer and you’ll be better equipped to cope with the world if you find your way to connect with your subconscious. This is my way of doing that.
