We are celebrating National Poetry Month here at The Studio this weekend and we are so excited! Kick off the weekend Saturday April 29th from 4:30-6:30PM with our girl @justlikeastone for her first Community Ghazal Workshop. “The Ghazal is a Persian form of Poetry; this philosophy to explore our relationship to our bodies, emotions, and each other. We’ll learn more about the history of the form, read some, and then create one together. I’ll lead us through some independent reflection questions to help us gather the mood of the collective moment together. Come as you are, bring the energy you have, and let the community guide you to a new understanding of this time. We’ll each have time to write our own couplets before going one by one in a circle to share. We have an amazing lineup of poets + performers this round to help us celebrate National Poetry Month, so come enjoy an evening of spoken word, wine, and community!
